Findbaya

Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Findbaya is a lead capture tool for Nigerian businesses, operated by The Catalyst Consulting Firm Ltd. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Two kinds of people use Findbaya

Business owners create an account and a lead page. Customers fill in a business's lead page to make an enquiry. For customer details, the business you contacted decides what happens to your information. Findbaya stores and delivers it for them.

What we collect

  • From business owners: name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled form), or your Google account name and email if you sign in with Google; your business details such as name, WhatsApp number, location and offer text.
  • From customers on a lead page: the name, phone number, email address, state, interest and message you enter, and which link you came from (for example Instagram or WhatsApp).
  • Usage and errors: basic anonymous visit and button click statistics, and technical error reports.
  • Payments: when paid plans are switched on, card and bank details are handled by our payment provider, Paystack. We do not store them.

How we use it

  • To run your account and deliver leads to the right business.
  • To send emails about enquiries: an alert to the business, and a confirmation to the customer who submitted the form.
  • To fix problems and improve the service.
  • To process subscription payments.

We do not sell personal information.

Services that help us run Findbaya

  • Floot, which hosts the app and database and sends our emails.
  • PostHog, for anonymous usage statistics. On customers' lead pages it records only that a lead was submitted, nothing about what was typed.
  • Sentry, for error reports.
  • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Paystack, for payments.

These providers may process information outside Nigeria. We use them only to run the service.

How long we keep it

We keep account and lead information while the business account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards unless you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how it is used. Customers should first contact the business they enquired with. You can also contact us through the WhatsApp button on our homepage and we will respond.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above.
